Click here to book your time to visit our galleries. The Aspen Art Museum is reserving the first hour of visitation (10–11 a.m.) for seniors and immune-compromised guests. Party sizes are limited to 6 people. If you have any difficulty, please call 970.925.8050 and an AAM associate will assist you.
Our café is open from 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Tuesday–Saturday. Limited table service is available for parties of 6 or less. Further café details and weekly menus are available here.
Wear nose-mouth protection
Please wear a mask, cloth bandana, or scarf over your nose and mouth. If you do not have nose-mouth protection, we will provide it for you at the main reception desk on Level 1 upon your visit.
Respect required distancing & on-site signs/guidance system
Please keep a minimum distance of 6 feet between guests and staff members. Please avoid direct physical contact. Parties may remain together. Children must stay with adults at all times. Follow directional floor signage to help maintain social distancing and respect gallery capacities.
Wash and disinfect your hands
Please wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and use hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the building.
Cough and sneeze etiquette
Please cough or sneeze into your elbow, not your hands.
Coatroom
The coatroom and storage lockers are unavailable at this time. Backpacks/bags larger than 11 x 15 inches are not permitted in the galleries; please refrain from bringing items that cannot be maintained on or about your person. Children are not allowed to be carried on shoulders in AAM galleries. Soft front-facing baby carriers are allowed.
Strollers
Strollers/prams may be left in the designated museum courtyard storage area to the left of the AAM’s main entrance reception desk. This space can accommodate up to four strollers.
Elevator
Please note that our elevator is for use by those with mobility issues. We request usage be limited to one party at a time.
Restrooms
The Street and Lower Level private lockable restrooms are open. Please be aware that public water fountains are not functioning.
AAM Shop
The Shop is open. You may also shop online and have items shipped to you directly.
There is a single designated visitor entrance at the Hyman Avenue side of the facility and a single exit on Spring Street to ensure efficient and safe access & traffic flow throughout your museum experience.
Acrylic panels are installed in front of the reception desk and SO Café cash register.
High-touch building surfaces—railings, gallery & facility doors, elevator control panels, restroom facilities, counters, and changing stations—are cleaned and disinfected daily.
Our HVAC system pulls in outside air at the rate of 6,000–9,000 CFM—we do not recycle interior air.
Food and drink are not permitted in the museum. Water and container-based beverages are available for purchase at SO Café on museum Level 3. We recommend visitors use credit/debit cards for on-site purchases.
