      Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

    • This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.

      Classes are limited to fifteen participants. Prior registration strongly encouraged.

  • May 16, 2019

    • Celebrate the culmination of the inaugural Aspen Art Museum Artist Fellowship with four project presentations. Artists Wewer Keohane, Michael Lorsung, Shannon Richardson, and Andrew Roberts-Gray will discuss their fellowship experiences and present individual creative projects through a variety of hands-on art activities, video, and performance.

    • Join Carbondale-based musicians Lizzy Plotkin and Natalie Spears for an evening of bluegrass and old-timey sounds inspired by the work of Margaret Kilgallen, who herself was inspired by female banjo player Matokie Slaughter. The exhibition catalogue for that’s where the beauty is., and other Kilgallen-related materials will be available during the event.

    • Camille’s life as a lonely suburban teenager changes dramatically when she befriends a group of girl skateboarders. As she journeys deeper into this raw New York City subculture, she begins to understand the true meaning of friendship.
