Summer Workshops

Jun 14, 2021
9:30 AM

June 14–18, 9:30 am–12:30 pm

PreK children (ages 4 – 5 years) are invited to join us at the AAM for a week of creating art and making music! The AAM and Aspen Music Festival and School will be collaborating to provide kids with the chance to make their own instruments and design their own performance for a celebration at the end of the week.

The AAM is incredibly excited to host in-person 2021 Summer Workshops! Through collaboration with many community partners, we will be celebrating the mountains and natural world around us through multiple art disciplines including visual arts, music, film, performance, and so much more!

Due to restrictive numbers and so that everything can be delivered in a safe way, there will be a random selection process for workshops with both members and general applicants. We are holding half of the spots per workshop for our members.

Non-Member Registration Form opens on Wednesday, May 5 and will close on Friday, May 14.

If you are selected, you will be sent an email between May 17 and May 19 with instructions on how to provide payment.

Aspen Music Festival and School
Founded in 1949, the Aspen Music Festival and School is regarded as one of the top classical music festivals in the United States, noted both for its concert programming and its musical training of mostly young-adult music students. The typical eight-week summer season includes more than 400 classical music events—including concerts by five orchestras, solo and chamber music performances, fully staged opera productions, master classes, lectures, and children’s programming—and brings in 100,000 audience members.
