      Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

    • This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum Educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.

    • The AAM is celebrating the opening of Kelly Akashi’s sculpture Cultivator, Maren Hassinger’s installation Nature, Sweet Nature, and Rose Wylie’s exhibition where i am and was. Join us on Thursday, March 19 beginning at 5:30 p.m. for delicious snacks from SO Café, free wine and beer, and a complimentary art-making activity for all ages on level 3.

    • The AAM Teen Council and Aspen Film present Back to the 80s, a movie series centered around films from the decade of dance, music videos, and all things flashy! Teenagers in grades 9–12 are welcome to join us on on Level 3 to watch movies from the 80s and enjoy food, music, and each other’s company!

    • Spring Break is a free, three-day program, in collaboration with the Aspen Youth Center, that offers middle school students in the Roaring Fork Valley the opportunity to spend their Spring Break looking at exhibitions, creating art, and enjoying each other’s company.

    • Spring Break in Rifle is a free program offered in collaboration with the Rifle Branch Library. Led by AAM Educators, the program includes learning about a contemporary artist, creating with new materials and techniques, a complimentary lunch, and a pop-up art show for family and friends.
