      Guided Tour

      Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

    • This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.

      Classes are limited to fifteen participants. Prior registration strongly encouraged.

    • Artists in the Making is an eight-week program that offers middle school students in Aspen and Basalt the opportunity to develop specialized skills driven by self-innovation. Community experts who visit select sessions and mentor students work in tandem with an AAM Educator to create a uniquely tailored experience that concludes with a celebratory showcase for friends and family. Spring theme: Design Thinking

    • This documentary tells the story of a former Miss Wyoming whose quest for one true love landed her on the pages of tabloid newspapers following charges of abducting a young Mormon Missionary. In director Errol Morris’s words, this movie “is a meditation on how we are shaped by the media and even more powerfully, by ourselves.”

    • PechaKucha was first held in Tokyo as a forum for architects and designers to share their work in a 20x20 format: twenty images, each for twenty seconds. As a close to Colorado Architecture Month, local architects are invited to apply to present their unexpected and emerging practices to our community.
