These community workshops provide playful art exploration for young audiences with their parents or caregivers. The Levels 0–2 and 3–5 Years are offered free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.

Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.
This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.
Limited class size; prior registration strongly encouraged.

Join the AAM on Thursday, October 6, for Beer, Brats, and Bluegrass. Featuring the Roaring Fork Valley’s own Buffalo Joe, delicious brats, and Aspen Brewing Company Beer. Last year’s event sold out quickly, so be sure to secure your reservation.
Active Art invites seniors to engage in the social dimensions of art. Museum educators bring free, memory-enhancing activities to the assisted living communities of Whitcomb Terrace in Aspen and Heritage Park in Carbondale. Physically independent seniors are invited for monthly gatherings at the Aspen Art Museum, where drawing activities and free food and refreshments are offered at SO, the AAM’s Andrea and James Gordon Café.
Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.
