Upcoming: Fall Movies at the Museum
Sep 30, 2016, 7 PM
As a complement to artist Julian Schnabel’s AAM exhibition opening November 4, the fall season of Movies at the Museum presents three feature-length films directed by Schnabel, each of which tells the true stories of brave, creative individuals.
Our first showing features Before Night Falls based on the autobiography of Cuban poet and novelist Reinaldo Arenas. After moving to Havana in the sixties, Arenas begins to explore his creativity, ambitions, and sexuality. Through his work and friendships with other openly gay men, Arenas manages to find himself. Free popcorn starts at 6:30 p.m.
