Community Partnerships

The AAM is proud to partner with a variety of organizations in the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valley, enabling us to strengthen programming and reach new audiences.

These partnerships bring organizations together to increase access to art, literacy, enrichment, and well-being. Partnership programs are typically long-term and have evolved through ongoing communication, experimentation, and evaluation.

Mobile Story Art with Valley Settlement

The AAM and Valley Settlement’s Family, Friends, and Neighbors program work together to offer this Spanish-language art-making and literacy program to children under the age of five in informal care settings.

Our focus this year will be on giving care providers the tools they need to positively impact the lives of children in their care. Care providers will participate in interactive online trainings on how to lead a participatory art lesson. They will receive prerecorded videos of AAM Educator Vanessa Porras reading stories and guiding participants through connected art activities.

This program is made possible with additional support from the Bessie Minor Swift Foundation.
