This bilingual program falls under the Art in the Outdoors program and provides opportunities for members of the Latino Community to access and enjoy public lands through hikes and restoration projects and includes an art making activity and a visit to the Aspen Art Museum.

The AAM is very proud to collaborate with Wilderness Workshop in their Defiende Nuestra Tierra program. Launched in 2018, Defiende Nuestra Tierra illuminates influential voices within the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Latino communities, partnering with each to steward and protect our shared public lands.
Wilderness Workshop’s mission is to protect and conserve the wilderness and natural resources of the Roaring Fork Watershed, the White River National Forest, and adjacent public lands.
