Family Workshop

May 14, 2016
10:00 am
637 E. Hyman Ave

Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Participants get to know one another better through engagement with exhibitions. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.

Artist Focus: Rachel Rose

All Family Workshops are free of charge and are first come, first served for families with children ages 3–10. Workshops begin in the Education Workshop, giving families choices for self-guided or educator-led activities and art-making stations.

AAM education programs are made possible by the Questrom Education Fund. Education Workshop support is provided by Melva Bucksbaum and Raymond Learsy and Mary and Patrick Scanlan. Scholarships for AAM Workshops are funded by Cari and Michael J. Sacks.

AAM exhibitions are made possible by the Marx Exhibition Fund. General exhibition support is provided by the Toby Devan Lewis Visiting Artist Fund.

Rachel Rose’s exhibition is curated by Simon Castets, Director of Swiss Institute, New York, and organized at the AAM by Heidi Zuckerman, Nancy and Bob Magoon CEO and Director.
This exhibition is funded in part by the AAM National Council. Additional support is provided by The Etkin Family Digital Media and Moving Image Fund.
