Making Art with Artists: Lewis Rossignol
Combining Drawing and Collage

Jan 30, 2021
1:00 PM
For this lesson, join artist and guest educator Lewis Rossignol as he demonstrates how to combine drawing with clipped photos or other two-dimensional items. He’ll help you brainstorm ideas on how to loosen up in your creative process and figure out what to draw when you’re not feeling creative.

Tools & Materials: Students will need mixed media paper, pens (like the Uniball Rollerball), as well as whatever media the student likes to use, including (but not limited to) watercolors, crayons, charcoal, markers, and colored pencils. They should also bring some two-dimensional imagery for collaging like magazines to cut up, some old photos, stamps, or letters.

Lewis Rossignol is a Portland, Maine–based artist/illustrator specializing in combining hand-drawn and collaged imagery. His clients include Tyler the Creator, HBO, and Dogfish Brewing.
