Join the Aspen Art Museum and the Museum Confidential podcast for a lively, in-person discussion that begins with a seemingly simple question: Why does Andy Warhol persist? Timed to coincide with the opening of the major international retrospective Andy Warhol: Lifetimes, Museum Confidential host Jeff Martin will lead the discussion with Nancy and Bob Magoon Director Nicola Lees, artist and AAM Curator at Large Monica Majoli, and Assistant Curator Simone Krug. The conversation will explore the exhibition, which focuses on the biographical underpinnings of Warhol’s practice by expanding on the lesser-known aspects of his work and persona. Andy Warhol: Lifetimes breaks new ground by casting a queer eye on the artist as an outsider and disruptor who remade America’s image to resonate with his sensibility.

In the 1950s, Andy Warhol would throw coloring parties at his favorite Upper East Side ice cream shop, Serendipity 3. Friends and strangers alike would mix and mingle and help Andy add color to his illustrations. Join us for a collective coloring party in this same collaborative spirit at The Factory.
