Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.

Drawing on the wealth of Spanish speakers in the Roaring Fork Valley, the museum presents an afternoon of activities for all ages, entirely in Spanish. Featuring guided tours, family art-making activities, and more, this special event is free and open to the public en Español. This special event will include a walkthrough with artist Gabriel Rico.
Design is all around us! From words on signs to spaces we interact with, a designer can turn an idea into a work of art. Taking inspiration from the works of Margaret Kilgallen and Oscar Tuazon, join us as we learn about making layouts, visual design, and typography in order to make our own zine!

Lights, camera, action! Put your director hat on and come join us for a fun-filled week of directing, designing, and producing your own stop-motion animation film. The week will end with a special screening for family and friends.
