This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.

Join Claire Lyons, Curator of Antiquities at the J. Paul Getty Museum, for insight into the importance of context and display of antiquities. She will draw connections to Haris Epaminonda’s installations, which carefully pair artifacts from different cultures and eras to reconfigure our understanding of how the past and present relate.
In a dusty, under-populated California resort town, a naïve southern waif, Pinky Rose (Sissy Spacek), idolizes and befriends her fellow nurse, Millie Lammoreaux (Shelley Duvall). When Millie takes Pinky in as her roommate, their relationship grows until the introduction of artist Willie (Janice Rule) to the dynamic. This free program for infants and their caregivers explores fun ways to interact through art. These regularly offered workshops integrate art making and appreciation into children’s lives. The Levels 0–2 and 3–5 Years are offered free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.
