This week’s session will be led by MAPS.

Music Art Puppets Sound, aka MAPS, is a nonprofit organization that brings art and music education to underfunded youths and adults. MAPS strives to create imaginative art-making spaces where participants can thrive as they explore a range of artistic media, dive into the history of art-making in the local community, and create new, original works. The collective sparks deep curiosity about ideas and processes, encourages creative friendships, and gives people the freedom to play and invent. MAPS is at once an experimental art playground, a space for creative discourse and an educational program.

About Teaching Artists:

Teaching Artists is a new initiative by the Museum that fosters dialogue between artists and educators in the Roaring Fork Valley. This program offers real educational experience through curriculum development, hands-on workshops, skill-sharing, and critical discussions surrounding arts education.
