    Frances lives in New York, but she doesn’t really have an apartment. She is an apprentice for a dance company, but she’s not really a dancer. She has a best friend named Sophie, but they aren’t really speaking anymore. This wry and sparkling city romance uncovers the frustrations and the joys of being young and unsure of where to go next.

    Art Studio:
    Level 1 (Ages 2–5)

    Held once a month from 10:30–11:30 a.m., these free community workshops provide playful exploration of storytelling for young audiences with their parents or caregivers. A special June session will be held with Active Art participants. This level of Art Studio is offered free of charge and is first come, first served.

  • 2:30 PM Make

    Art Studio:
    Level 2 (Grades K–4)

    This monthlong program for kids in Grades K–4 is held weekly at the AAM. Taking place after school most Wednesdays from 2:30–4 p.m., these workshops recognize the value of exposing children to the arts at an early age and use the artist’s process as an educational tool. Museum educators and teaching artists lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects. Registration is $18 members/$20 nonmembers per class.
