Paula Hayes: Key Frame

Jun 1, 2018-Oct 14, 2018
Working in botany, sculpture, installation, and landscape design, Paula Hayes utilizes natural environments to expand the possibilities of art. Known for her innovative approach to building ecosystems—intricate terrariums, gardens, and other site-specific installations that induce wonderment—Hayes creates “living artworks” resembling biomorphic forms that are ever changing and evolving. The plants within her elaborate vessels require our continued attention for care and nurturement. Hayes’s futuristic, otherworldly objects will be installed on the Crown Commons, emphasizing the vital connection between nature and Aspen.
