Known for his spectacular pyrotechnic displays, Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang creates his most ambitious and perhaps personal project yet in this breathtaking documentary. Drawing ties to Black Lightning, created in conjunction with the opening of the new AAM, the film traces the artist’s tireless journey to realize his explosive vision.

Black Lightning was generously underwritten by Stefan Edlis and Gael Neeson.
