Rebecca Hart has recently joined the Denver Art Museum (DAM) as the Polly and Mark Addison Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art. Prior to the DAM, Hart served for ten years as the curator of contemporary art at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Hart received a Master of Arts in Art History from Wayne State University in Detroit and a Master of Fine Arts in Fiber from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
Building on the museum’s mission to support the artistic voice and its role in shaping society, the Aspen Art Museum presents the public program series Collect Ideas. Inviting artists, curators, and cultural producers to share their perspective on the possibilities of art, this series marks the third format in a long-term engagement with why art matters, which also includes: a print campaign featuring interviews with local leaders, an ongoing broadcasted program with visiting artists and curators on GrassRoots TV, and finally a series of lectures that bring these conversations to a live forum.
Tuesday–Sunday, 10 AM–6 PM
General operating support is provided by Colorado Creative Industries. CCI and its activities are made possible through an annual appropriation from the Colorado General Assembly and federal funds from the National Endowment for the Arts.
