Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s Violence Prevention Program features a 45-minute abridged performance of Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice followed by a discussion led by CSF’s actors. The performance uses central themes in the classic comedic tale as an entry point for dialogue around conflict disputes. It presents strategies youth can use to navigate conflict in their daily lives.

The FREE event will take place in TACAW’s theater and feature a performance and discussion regarding complexities in adapting Shakespeare and Victorian sensibilities to contemporary audiences and issues.

This visit is part of our Teen Program: Art in the Field!

We are offering five $1000 scholarships for teens with a high level of participation in the program. Scholarships may be used for tuition, travel, or other activities related to future goals.
