Join us for the next session in our series : ‘Then and Now, Behind the Scenes at the Museum with David Floria, Don Stuber & Simone Krug’.

Immerse yourself in an evening of inspiration, enveloped in history within the storied walls of the Wheeler Room at Hotel Jerome as three curators offer a behind the scenes look at the remarkable trajectory of the Aspen Art Museum from the past 42 years, from its beginnings as a scrappy and adventurous artist-driven start-up in 1979 to its current state as a taste-making force in the contemporary art world. Artist Don Stuber was there in the beginning helping organize and hang the first shows in the old museum and through the early years alongside curator David Floria. Current museum curator Simone Krug carries on their legacy. The trio will share their stories from some of the museum’s most legendary exhibitions and will offer an insider’s glimpse at how an Aspen Art Museum show comes into being.
