Karen Braitmayer, FAIA, founded Studio Pacifica in 1993, a consulting firm which has been regionally and nationally recognized for universal design and social sustainability. In 2010, she was appointed by former President Barack Obama to the United States Access Board and in 2019 was presented with the Whitney M. Young Jr. Award for her contributions to promote inclusive, universal, and accessible design in architecture. Karen’s presentation will include a lively conversation with local architects.
