In this workshop, we will explore re-mapping through the use of existing geographic maps. Inspired by the mountains of Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley, students will incorporate dynamic two-dimensional layers with collage.

We invite you to join Precious Okoyomon to welcome the summer solstice with the opening of this season’s iteration of Every Earthly Morning the Sky’s Light touches Ur Life is Unprecedented in its Beauty.

Inspired by Gaetano Pesce’s extensive use of eccentric materials, in this workshop students will experiment with texture using clay and other objects to create a unique and abstract three-dimensional art piece.

In this two-day workshop, students will create a sculpture inspired by the inventive nontraditional art of Pesce. We will design an organic object and infuse it with its own personality.

These lessons plans will introduce basic art techniques and allow children to explore multiple art materials.

Personal Geographies
In this activity, students will design a cartographic image of their personality. Students will experiment and learn more about themselves by creating visual representations of their culture through mapmaking.
