Part 1 will focus on Warhol’s portrait process with a Polaroid Big Shot camera. Everyone is encouraged to return for Part 2 where we will screen print the portraits taken during Part 1.

Warhol used repetition and seriality in many of his works. This method highlighted our culture’s obsession with mass production. However, when taking a closer look at the repeating images, we can see how each printed iteration is unique. Come experiment with the mechanical process of repetition by using various images.
Join Filmmaker and curator Rabz Lansiquot for a study session exploring Black liberatory film. The Black Film Anti-School is Lansiquot’s ongoing project, initiated at London’s LUX Moving Image in 2019, which seeks to create spaces for collective learning, including screenings, reading and discussion, and generate discourse that goes beyond conversations about representation and towards a liberatory mode of making, viewing and critiquing Black film. Registration required.
