      Artist Coffee

      Artist Coffee is an informal gathering of artists from the local community to connect with the museum and each other, to exchange ideas, and discuss the role of art and the artist in the current moment. A group of 8-10 artists signs up to attend a 1 ½ hour session with refreshments or lunch in the cafe.

      The Sandlot

      Join us on the rooftop for a screening of The Sandlot, a baseball-inspired photo station, an art-making experience, and refreshments. It will be fun for the entire family!

    • Hallam Lake serves as the magical backdrop for imagination, play and the creation of art through a variety of mediums. The Aspen Art Museum and Aspen Center for Environmental Studies are excited to announce their collaborative Summer Workshops for kids entering Kindergarten in Fall 2021! Participants will learn about bugs, trees, animals and flowers, and create artwork based on inspiration from each theme! Nature lends itself to fun and games and the opportunity to create playful art.

      Summer Workshops

      Are you a teenager who is interested in art, film, and the community of Aspen? If so, join us at the AAM for a two-week course engaging with the people around us through performance art and installation. Learn about videography composition to capture moments of art in the community. There are two sessions, each lasting two weeks with courses being held Monday – Friday from 10 am to 3 pm MT.

      Session 1, July 6th – 16th: 10 am – 3 pm
      Session 2, July 19th – 30th: 10 am – 3 pm

      Art in the Outdoors

      Provides people of all ages with the opportunity to take art outside the museum walls. Led by museum educators and special guests, each session aims to spark creativity and wonder through activities in and around Aspen. Participants can pre order and pick up a Brown Bag Lunch at So Cafe’.

      Music with a View

      Presented in collaboration with the Aspen Music Festival and School (AMFS), this free and inclusive chamber concert series features one-hour performances by the most advanced AMFS students and visiting musicians in Aspen.

      Arte en Aire Libre

      This bilingual program falls under the Art in the Outdoors program and provides opportunities for members of the Latino Community to access and enjoy public lands through hikes and restoration projects and includes an art making activity and a visit to the Aspen Art Museum.
