    In Conversation:
    Veit Laurent Kurz and Saim Demircan

    Veit Laurent Kurz, the architect of Winterfest: An Exhibition of Arts and Crafts, will be in conversation with the exhibition’s curator Saim Demircan. Together, they will elaborate on their collaborative process and discuss the history of experimental and organic architecture that has influenced Veit Laurent Kurz’s practice. They will also provide special insight into individual works included in Winterfest and touch on the intersection of art and design in Aspen.

    Making Art with Artists: Lewis Rossignol
    Combining Drawing and Collage

    For this lesson, join artist and guest educator Lewis Rossignol as he demonstrates how to combine drawing with clipped photos or other two-dimensional items. He’ll help you brainstorm ideas on how to loosen up in your creative process and figure out what to draw when you’re not feeling creative.

    Yoga & Mindfulness for Teens: Growth

    Join Aspen Art Museum Educator Vanessa Porras and Teen Council member Erica on Zoom for a free, three-session mindfulness and yoga course for teens. The yoga portion is designed for beginners with no prior experience necessary. Sessions held on Sunday, January 17, 24, and 31 from 10–11 a.m. (MT).

    English in Action Pairs Program

    The AAM and English in Action are teaming up to present a lighthearted three-part online program specifically designed to get pairs talking about contemporary art. This program begins with a lively overview of current AAM exhibitions with a museum educator and concludes with an interactive Happy Hour.

    Teen Council Meeting

    Teen Council meetings happen every other Tuesday from August to May. Through this program led by AAM Educator, Elisabeth Strunk, local teenagers create and implement events for their peers. The Council follows the motto, “For teens, by teens,” to make the Aspen Art Museum a fun place for youth in the Roaring Fork Valley.
