    • Join us for a mobile story art training session on Zoom with Vanessa Porras where she will be teaching educators how to conduct an activity based around Alma y cómo obtuvo su nombre by Juana Martinez-Neal promoting self acceptance, independence, and fine motor skills! In this particular art activity, we explore themes of self-acceptance by creating a family tree using our hands and fingers.

Alma y cómo obtuvo su nombre by Juana Martinez-Neal is a story about a little girl who thinks her name is too long. Like many hispanic children, she carries the name of several ancestors.
