    Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.

    Library Card Activation

    Local librarians will be in the galleries giving out library cards and book recommendations inspired by Abraham Cruzvillegas’s exhibition Hi, how are you, Gonzo? Only visiting Aspen? The library gives out both short-term and long-term cards that grant access to all the great facilities, resources, and events it provides to the community.     Aspen High School Choral Activation

    Join AHS Choral and Vocal Music Director/IB Music Teacher Erica Nottingham with her talented students for open-mic musical performances and improvisations. Audience members will have the chance to try out musical instruments of their choice. All ages welcome!

    Active Art: Whitcomb Terrace

    Active Art invites seniors to engage in the social dimensions of art. Each month, museum Educators bring free, memory-enhancing activities to the assisted living communities of Whitcomb Terrace in Aspen and Heritage Park in Carbondale, and also host art making in the museum’s Roof Deck Sculpture Garden with complimentary refreshments.
