Calling all artists: join AAM Artist Programs Coordinator, Teresa Booth Brown, and artist and graphic designer, Curt Carpenter, for a hands-on activity tied to Robert Montgomery’s exhibition The City in Their Echo. This free program starts with a conversation on the typographical elements of the work and ends with a hands-on scratch-art project, conversation, and refreshments.
Are you looking for an intimate, constructive environment to gain new perspectives on your artwork? Adopting art school’s format of group feedback, this program provides a selected group of local artists with valuable insight from a visiting expert. This session is led by the AAM’s new Senior Curator, Max Weintraub.
In celebration of the first year of the AAM’s new Artist Programs, join Artist Programs Coordinator Teresa Booth Brown and artists from the community in a playful art-making activity inspired by Rashid Johnson’s exhibition The Hikers. The group will meet in the exhibition, enjoy a conversation and activity led by Andrew Roberts-Gray, and create an artwork in response to works on view.
Calling all creative adults: find inspiration from artists and artworks and connect with others! Join AAM’s Artist Programs Coordinator Teresa Booth Brown and a presenting artist from the local community for a spirited conversation and art-making activity. This free program starts with a nontraditional discussion of a current exhibition and ends with an imaginative mixer.
