      Guided Tour

      Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

    • This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.

      Classes are limited to fifteen participants. Prior registration strongly encouraged.

    • After a highly unusual zombie saves a still-living girl from an attack, the two form a relationship that sets in motion events that might transform the entire lifeless world.

      Homeschool Workshop

      The AAM tailors special visits and workshops for homeschool families and programs in the Roaring Fork Valley. Each workshop provides an opportunity for parents and children to learn about contemporary art while creating a work of art together as a family. Parents also learn techniques and skills for creating their own art experiences at home.

      Active Art: Whitcomb Terrace

      Active Art invites seniors to engage in the social dimensions of art. Each month, museum Educators bring free, memory-enhancing activities to the assisted-living communities of Whitcomb Terrace in Aspen and Heritage Park in Carbondale, and also host art making in the museum’s Roof Deck Sculpture Garden with complimentary refreshments.

    • Spring Break is a free, three-day program offered in collaboration with the Aspen Youth Center (AYC). Middle school students are invited to spend their time out of school enjoying art, snacks, and friends. Join us in making T-shirts, designing skateboards, watching a movie, and creating stickers inspired by the artworks of Margaret Kilgallen!
