Many heads are better than one in this highly collaborative workshop where kids will problem solve and build temporary site-responsive artworks for public use. Documentation of our process will be shared with family and friends at the end of the week.
Expand your skills and style in this advanced workshop for teens. Students will be given the tools and materials needed to conceive and create couture fashion, while stretching current trends using technology with classical garment construction. These unique fashions will be presented to friends and family at an end-of-the-week Fashion Show.
Presented in collaboration with the Aspen Music Festival and School (AMFS), this free chamber concert series features one-hour performances by the most advanced AMFS students and visiting musicians in Aspen.

Rashid Johnson was born in Chicago, in 1977, and lives and works in New York. A critical theory framework extends across his paintings, sculptures, photography, and video work, investigating legacies of and possibilities for African American intellectual and cultural life. His work has been the subject of recent solo exhibitions at the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Moscow, the Grand Palais, Paris, the Drawing Center, the High Line, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver. He is the recipient of the 2018 Aspen Award for Art.
