    • Active Art invites seniors to engage in the social dimensions of art. Museum educators bring free, memory-enhancing activities to the assisted living community of Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale.

      Story Art: Carbondale

      Story Art is a community outreach program that provides playful exploration of storytelling for young audiences with their parents or caregivers. This free community program builds visual literacy and art appreciation in the Carbondale Branch Library.

      Guided Tour

      Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

    • This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.

      Classes are limited to fifteen participants. Prior registration strongly encouraged.

      Family Workshop

      Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.

    • Are you looking for an intimate, constructive environment to gain new perspectives on your artwork? Adopting art school’s format of group feedback, this program provides a selected group of local artists with valuable insight from a visiting facilitator. This session is facilitated by Andrew Travers, Arts Editor for the Aspen Times, and will focus on the importance of language and being articulate.
