    • Be a trendsetter! This fashion Workshop will develop skills needed to create a unique line of custom looks. With an emphasis on the idea of “popular opposites,” we will create fashion illustrations, a portfolio of new designs, and ready-to-wear pieces using a variety of sewing techniques and materials. At the end of the week, we will share these creations at a special fashion show for family and friends.

    • Ready or not, here we come! In this tactile Workshop, we will cut, sew, and assemble colorful animal masks and costumes with an array of soft materials and found objects. Making unique disguises will only be half the fun. We’ll celebrate with a performance in costume for our friends and family at the end of the week.

    • This advanced workshop for teens will cultivate a personal sense of style and brand- and client-responsive design. Throughout the week, we will move independently through all steps of the design process to create a wearable work of art for the 6–8 year old participants in the “Let’s Move” Workshop and performance. Prior experience with a sewing machine encouraged.

    • Turn the museum into a stage! In this performing arts Workshop, co-taught with SOULSKIN Dance company’s Artistic Director Adrianna Thompson and a company member, we will learn choreography and movement that will be shared in a unique performance taking place throughout the museum on the final day of the Workshop. We will explore art on view through visual and kinesthetic experiences, and wear costumes designed by the 12–14 year old Fashion for Real Workshop participants.
