This workshop invites all ages to meet Steve Jenkins, author/illustrator of Creature Features and Apex Predators, as he provides a presentation of his studio process, a reading and signing of his books, and hands-on art making led by the artist and an AAM Educator. This free program encourages budding youth and adult bookmakers alike to explore storytelling.
Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.

Since 2005, the Aspen Art Museum and the Aspen Skiing Company have collaborated to bring contemporary art to audiences in unexpected places. Artist Sarah Cain has created a large-scale, site-responsive installation at Elk Camp in the Snowmass Ski Area. Visitors to Ullr Nights at Elk Camp are invited to create playful, colorful artworks in response to Cain’s installation.
