      Guided Tour

      Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

    • Since 2005, the AAM’s Young Curators of the Roaring Fork (YCRF) program has engaged high school students in a six-month program that builds aesthetic valuation, leadership, organizational, and critical-thinking skills. After participants lead a call for submissions, identify a theme, and assemble the exhibition, an opening is held to celebrate this student-driven initiative.

    • This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.

    • This community program for infants and their caregivers explores fun ways to interact through art. These regularly offered workshops integrate art making and appreciation into children’s lives. The Levels 0–2 and 3–5 Years are offered free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.

    • Stephan Jost is the Art Gallery of Ontario’s Michael and Sonja Koerner Director and CEO. He has held positions as the Director of the Honolulu Museum of Art, Director of the Shelburne Museum, and Director of Mills College Art Museum. As part of the Art Matters series, which explores the vital role of the artistic voice in society, Jost will present a lecture entitled “Towards a More Civil World: Flight from violence and our response.”

    • This unconventional documentary follows the everyday lives of two reclusive, formerly upper-class women: a mother and daughter both named Edith Beale. This aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis live their eccentric lives in a decaying mansion in East Hampton, in a sort of timeless bubble of uncompromised and eccentric character.
