      Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

    • This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.

      Limited class size; prior registration strongly encouraged.

    • Creating a space for critical feedback and community, local artists are invited to apply on a first come, first serve basis for an intensive Crit Session. Mardee Goff, Curator at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, will lead this session, providing an intimate and constructive environment to give artists new perspective on their work.

    • A young couple goes on a Midwest crime spree in Terrence Malick’s hypnotic debut feature. Rebellious Kit (Martin Sheen) takes off with teen baton-twirler Holly (Sissy Spacek) after shooting her father (Warren Oates) when he tries to split up the pair. The two flee, running from the law and consequences, through the Badlands and beyond.

    • These community workshops provide playful art exploration for young audiences with their parents or caregivers. The Levels 0–2 and 3–5 Years are offered free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.

    • Active Art invites seniors to engage in the social dimensions of art. Museum educators bring free, memory-enhancing activities to the assisted living community of Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale.
