      Drawing on the wealth of Spanish speakers in the Roaring Fork Valley, the museum presents an afternoon of activities for all ages, entirely in Spanish. Featuring guided tours, family art-making activities, and more, this special event is free and open to the public en Español.

    • Held once a month from 10:30–11:30 a.m., these free community workshops provide playful exploration of storytelling for young audiences with their parents or caregivers. This level of Art Studio is offered free of charge and is first come, first served.

      Story Art: Carbondale

      Story Art is a community outreach program that provides playful exploration of storytelling for young audiences with their parents or caregivers. This free community program builds visual literacy and art appreciation. This session takes place at the Carbondale Branch Library at 320 Sopris Ave.

    • 5:30 PM Community

      Active Art

      Active Art is a monthly program that provides older adults in the Roaring Fork Valley seasonal opportunities to access and engage with contemporary art and the wider community through art appreciation classes, museum tours, art-making activities, and collaborations. This session is a course at the Aspen Art Museum (prior registration is required).

    • This Short Course is designed to investigate contemporary perspectives on performance raised by the exhibition A Fragile But Marvelous Life. Each two-hour session unpacks a question through the format of a lecture, discussion, and time in the galleries. The course can be taken as a three-part series and is taught by AAM Curator Courtenay Finn and Learning Director Michelle Dezember.
