    Conceived as a space for artists to share their current practice in an intimate setting, this Workshop will be hosted by Rodney McMillian, using his AAM exhibition and publication as a departure point for conversation and activity.

    Join Rodney McMillian for the launch of the publication produced in conjunction with his Aspen Art Museum exhibition, Landscape Paintings. In this special event, McMillian is available to sign his book, which provides a focused survey of the contemporary artist’s painting practice.

    June 22–26, 9 AM–3 PM

    What would a book about your life look like? For everyone with a love for words and art, this Workshop is for you! Taking inspiration from Nick Relph’s and Gabriel Kuri’s artist books, participants will learn basic bookbinding to make their very own artist book filled with their personal creations.     Lemonade Stand Summer Workshop (Ages 9–11):
    June 22–26, 9 AM–3 PM

    Back by popular demand! For this year’s Lemonade Day–focused Workshop, participants will create their own business and brand inspired by the use of popular culture and icons. Each entrepreneur will learn creative leadership skills and make their very own personalized stand to be used on Lemonade Day.

    By Choice or By Chance Summer Workshop (Ages 4–5):
    June 22–26 | 9 AM–3 PM

    Explore artworks on view that use both chance experimentation and careful choices to make extraordinary creations. Students will have the opportunity to make their own artworks using both approaches, exploring painting, sculpture, and even performance.

    Movies at the Museum:
    To Kill A Mockingbird

    Based on Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize–winning book, this cinematic classic follows Atticus Finch, a lawyer in the Depression-era South, who defends a black man against an undeserved rape charge. His daughter and son, Scout and Jem, grow up quickly in the face of prejudice that their family faces as a result of the trial.
