Adam Pendleton is a conceptual artist known for his multidisciplinary practice. His work centers on an engagement with language and the recontextualization of history. The artist’s work has been exhibited internationally, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, MoMA PS1, the New Museum, New York; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; Serpentine Galleries, Whitechapel Gallery, London; and Kunstverein, Amsterdam. Pendleton was educated at the Artspace Independent Study Program in Pietrasanta, Italy, and lives and works in New York.
