As part of the final iteration of the yearlong exhibition Ritual, poet CAConrad will present the new poetry ritual, “Resurrect Extinct Vibration.” The piece involves inducing a trance by saturating the body with recordings of recently extinct animals. The talk and performance will also cover the US Crystal Grid.

A recipient of a Pew Fellowship in the Arts, they also received the Believer Magazine Book Award and the Gil Ott Book Award. Their work has been translated into Spanish, Greek, Polish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Danish, and German. They teach regularly at Columbia University in NYC, and Sandberg Art Institute in Amsterdam, and their books, films, essays, rituals, and other publications can be found online at www.CAConrad.blogspot.com.

The performative lecture is presented as part of their visit to Aspen to provide Somatic Poetry Writing workshops.
