Security Officers are responsible for safeguarding all art objects on museum premises and preventing loss or damage to art objects and museum assets at all times. Security officers also serve as the primary gatekeepers of the staff/delivery entrance.
This is a full-time hourly position (35-40 hours/week) that requires availability for weekends, evenings, potentially graveyard shifts (midnight–8 a.m.), holidays, and must be available for call-out during emergencies or other critical events. This position is nonexempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act and will receive overtime pay for all hours worked in excess of forty in a seven-day workweek or over twelve hours in a day.
