The Aspen Art Museum is seeking an experienced art education administrator to develop and implement programs related to AAM exhibitions for K–12 students, youth, and family audiences. The School, Youth, and Family Programs Coordinator must have a passion for contemporary art and the ability to spark interest, arouse curiosity, and encourage young people to learn about art utilizing developmentally appropriate teaching strategies. The position reports to the Chief Program Officer and is a full-time, exempt position.
Plan, facilitate/coordinate, and evaluate all AAM exhibition-related youth and family programs. This includes, handling registration, organizing materials, scheduling educators, and coordinating logistical needs for the following programs:
Collaboratively plan, coordinate, and evaluate K–12 school programs, including being able to lead programs in the school and in the galleries. This includes, but is not limited to, the following programs:
Coordinate part-time educators for programs, including maintaining schedules, overseeing lesson plan development, and purchasing supplies needed to successfully implement programs.
This is a salaried position requiring availability for weekend, day, evening, and holiday shifts. This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act and will not receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of forty in a seven-day workweek or over twelve hours per day.
