The Learning Director is responsible for overseeing all programming within the Education department to develop and implement world-class programs including artist-driven events, performances, lectures and conversations, gallery talks, and workshops. The Learning Director must have a passion for contemporary art and the ability to spark interest, arouse curiosity, and engage others in learning about art utilizing visual literacy and object-oriented learning. The Learning Director reports directly to the CEO and Director, and serves as a key member of the education department, manages education staff, learning, and visitor services.
This is a salaried position that generally requires availability Monday through Friday with an occasional weekend, evening, and holiday work. The Education Director position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act and does not receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of forty in a seven-day work week.
